Process

• Jars arrive from the production line and are carried to the packing modules, which handle them by single-jar gripping.
• Flat carton blanks are separated one by one from a magazine.
• Each carton is glued, folded and sealed, then carried to the packing modules.
• Filled trays of 2 other products are loaded by hand at 2 stations, with a tray buffer section.
• The machine unloads these trays automatically and carries the products to the packing modules.
• Empty trays go back to the carton line automatically.
• Jars are placed into the cartons continuously, one at a time.
• The packing modules work independently, so the line can keep running if one unit stops.

Output

• Product infeed from the line: max. 280 jars/min
• Format 3 (reduced output): max. 220 jars/min
• Mixed product, station 1: max. 140 jars/min (11.5 cartons/min)
• Mixed product, station 2: max. 140 jars/min (11.5 cartons/min)
• Total output (line + both stations): max. 350 jars/min (30 cartons/min)
• Carton erector and lid closer: 23.5 cartons/min required
• Changeover time: approx. 15 min for a complete format change
• Output depends on the packaging materials used.
