Christoff Engineering food grade steam heated Evaporator

We have a food grade steam heated Evaporator / Pasteurizer / Sterilizer with shell & tube heat exchangers (Kelvion), stainless pumps and pipe reticulation complete with instrumentation and control system.    Capacity approx. 100kg  steam /hour at 2 bar.

It was purpose designed and made by Christoff Engineering, an Austrian company.  It was used to evaporate stick water for protein recovery. There is an electrical cabinet with it and PLC with control system and HMI. The program is on – protected but possibly available from the suppliers at this point in time.

It was found that the capacity of the unit was far too low and in attempting to increase the capacity with higher steam pressure the surface temperature of the tubes of the heat exchangers went too high for the protein and spoiled it.
